Our songs are about love, in all it's forms. So what better time or place to discuss them and our music than on a radio show dedicated primarily to the romantic in all of us? Facets of the Heart is an online radio show that will feature Girls & Boys this Monday May 20th.

Open your ears and your hearts and tune in at 7pm this Monday!

We had such an amazing time playing Bottle Rock in Napa this last weekend!! What an experience!! The vibe was alive. We also got to see some our favorite performers up close and personal. It was one for the books!!

We would like to thank our fans for all of the support over the years and although it sounds cliche we literally couldn't do it all without you. We had a great crowd for our performance at Bottle Rock and an awesome repsonse. Check out the size of the stage. (pictured above)

More pics to come and a DVD of our performance as well.

Thanks and see you soon

Exactly 4 days, or 96 hours, from this very moment we will be taking the CITI Stage at Bottle Rock Napa for our biggest show to date! Can't wait! ...In the mean time, can you find Girls & Boys in Rolling Stone mag???

Also, here's an awesome article from the North Bay Bohemian about the founders of Bottle Rock and the sequence of events leading to it's creation. We were lucky enough to have them drop our name right next to one of our favorite artists, Sharon Van Etten!

Wonderfulness! Our heads and hearts are still reeling from our week of shows along the beautiful California coast beginning with two shows with the Mother Hips; first an energizing evening in Oakland at The New Parish which was followed by a glorious day in Pismo Beach at The Cliffs, all wrapped up with a trip back up to the bay to The Park Chalet in San Francisco and a strong finish opening for THE Joan Osborne! We are so grateful and humbled to be on this part of our journey and thank all of our friends, family, and finally, our fans, for every bit of encouragement, and ultimately, for listening. We are definitely moved, touched, and honored by the support.

This Thursday you can catch us in SLO at Luis Wine Bar for our monthly showcase. In case you don't know already, this place is awesome! Then, we're cruising back up to Nor Cal this weekend for a string of shows with some great bands at some new places! Friday night we're at Sprenger's Tap Room in Santa Rosa with new local act Central Station, Saturday we'll be joining forces with Baby Seal Club for our first show in Novato at Hopmonk Tavern, and then capping off the weekend at one of our favorite places on the planet, the one and only Toad in the Hole Pub for our monthly Sunday night show and a Cinco de Mayo celebracion! See you all soon!

We are so excited about this coming weekend and all of our amazing upcoming shows! We hope to see our fan-friends out and about! Here is our most recent newsletter outlining our current events. To be a part of this bimonthly announcement you can sign up to the right of this message under COMMUNITY. See ya'll soon!

Hugs,

G&B's

A very happy spring to everyone! There is magic afoot! The Girls & Boys are stepping out with a skip in our step and are ready to rock!

In case you haven't heard by now, or just need a reminder, we've got some STELLAR shows coming up! First of the bunch, we'll be opening for California soul heroes The Mother Hips (www.motherhips.com/) twice in one weekend; Friday April 19th at The New Parish in Oakland, CA and Sunday April 21st at The Cliffs in Pismo Beach, CA. Following our weekend with the Hips, we'll be heading back up to the bay area opening for one of our favorite modern vocalists, Ms. Joan Osborne (www.joanosborne.com/), at one of our favorite venues, the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma, CA! A few weeks later we will be playing at the already legendary Bottle Rock Festival in Napa Valley Sunday May 12th (bottlerocknapavalley.com). We hope to see you all at one or every one of these events - we're sure you won't want to miss it!

In earlier news, we had an incredible experience opening for Charlie Parr for our very first show at the famous Hotel Utah in San Francisco last month. His style, presence and musicality was invigorating and ultra-inspiring. If you have a moment, take yourself back to another time and place and experience the one and only Charlie Parr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLOw-UOHbiE.

Girls & Boys

What a weekend! Coming down from a rocking show with Rock Collection in Sebastopol Saturday night; it was great seeing our Sebtown folk! Also, major -well sort of- renovations taking place amongst the Girls & Boys.. we're transforming ourselves into warriors!

We're excited to be playing an acoustic set tomorrow night in San Francisco at Hotel Utah opening for Charlie Parr, then gearing up for a weekend in Sonoma County, first with an acoustic show Saturday night at Hopmonk Tavern Sonoma and finally, our return to our hometown spot, Toad in the Hole Pub Sunday night. We've got a lot in store for you girls and boys.. see you soon!

Hey kids! We're stayin' busy! We're looking forward to our return to Nor Cal this weekend for an evening show in Sebastopol at Aubergine After Dark with Rock Collection. The Rock Collection features Mark Karan (RatDog/Phil and Friends) on electric guitar, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (ALO) on acoustic guitar and pedal steel, Greg Anton (Zero) on drums, and Robin Sylvester (RatDog) on bass. We are super excited to be playing before such a prestigious lineup of musicians!

This has been an eventful year so far and we are making the most of our time. The band is busy rehearsing, writing, and refining our sound. Our current lineup will be featured at our upcoming shows at The New Parish in Oakland (4/19) and The Cliffs in Shell Beach (4/21) opening for The Mother Hips, complete with the always stellar addition of Mike Emerson on keys, and Nick Simmons on guitar. We think you will all be pleasantly surprised!

Hope to see you Girls & Boys soon!

We had a great time playing The Fillmore in the Poster Room last night!! So much vibe in such an amazing venue. We're back at it today with rehearsal, a guest appearance at a friend's gig, and then off to play an all night jam! It is fulfilling to be out, doing what we love, playing as much as possible with people and at places we admire, sharing music and seeing so many new faces at our shows lately!!

The sound has captured us.

This week is a busy one for us. We are looking forward to playing 4 shows in SLO this week, including Monday for Songwriters at Play at Upper Crust Trattoria, Thursday at Luna Red in SLO, and rounding out the week with Friday and Saturday afternoons at Cambria Pines Lodge from 4-7pm.

We're a busy schedule with shows in LA, SLO, Cambria, SF, and Santa Rosa this month including our return to The Fillmore playing in the legendary Poster Room! The band is growing and things are sounding better by the day!! We have a few new songs in the mix that we are looking forward to sharing with you. We have lots of shows coming up so check out our show page to your left and see what we are up too.

See ya soon Girls & Boys

Howdy Girls & Boys!

Wow! Half-way through February already - really? Well, we are thrilled and welcome 2013 with open arms! Thanks to everyone we've met along the way; those who've been with us from the very start and to those of you new to the Girls & Boys family, welcome! We are on quite an exhilarating journey and are very pleased to have you come along. There's exciting news to share, as always! Read on...

Most recent and pressing announcements are the additions to our calendar which includes a spot at this year's Bottle Rock Festival in Napa, CA coming up in May! ( http://bottlerocknapavalley.com/ ) The only word to describe the feeling it gives us while perusing the lengthy collection of musicians/idols on this bill with our band listed shortly behind would be ecstatic! And.. maybe a bit surreal. If that weren't enough news to write home about, we've also landed an opening spot for legendary bay area California soul band The Mother Hips ( http://www.motherhips.com/ ) this April the 19th at The New Parish in Oakland, CA (http://www.girlsandboysmusic.com/shows/2013-04-19-no-venue/) as well as Sunday April 21st at the famous Cliff's Resort (http://www.cliffsresort.com/) in Pismo Beach, CA. One more event you won't want to miss will be our debut at SLO Brew March 2nd opening for Carrie Rodriquez ( http://www.carrierodriguez.com/ ) where we'll will be kicking off the night with an acoustic set! Tickets are available through us for $8 dollars, or $10 with the purchase of our album. That's right, $2 for our album! Send us an email with your email address to: gnbband1@gmail.com and we'll send you a link to PayPal. We can then deliver your tickets to you in person, by mail, or have it waiting for you at will call the night of the show. Don't miss out; as of right now there's less 20 tickets left! We can't wait to get on that stage and rock!

"I Would", the third track off our debut album is now getting regular airplay on the epic SLO station Krush 92.5 The Perfect Blend
http://www.krush925.com/ ) . And we've recently heard that "Winter Moon" as well as "Scratch & Scream" (a featured song from Shoreline's film, Divorce Invitation http://www.divorceinvitation.com/) are both being played on KCBX 90.1FM ( vhttp://www.kcbx.org/ ) We've met many new fans who are coming out to shows after hearing our music and have been told from tons of family and friends that they are hearing us every day!

We have a new string of tunes added to our set and the band is getting tighter and more polished every day. We are so excited and privileged to have our members on board; the one and only Mark Tarlton (Echodrone, Shambhala) laying it down with his impeccable style and beats, along with the sweet, soulful and mindful talent of the all-musical guitarist Nick Simmons (http://nicksimmons.org/). We recently debuted the full band at Sonoma County's Arlene Francis Center ( http://arlenefranciscenter.org/ ) accompanied by the incomparable pianist and true B3 player, Mike Emerson ( http://www.mikeemerson.net/ ), who made several appearances on our debut album The Feel of the Sun on tracks including "Stranger", "Scratch & Scream", "Tiny Little Root", and "Winter Moon". Thanks for the personality Mike!
It was a gas!

Well, think that's all for now folks. If you haven't seen us live lately, or just can't wait to see what we'll do next, check our show dates on our website http://www.girlsandboysmusic.com/shows/ or like us on Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/girlsandboysmakemusic?ref=hl ) for more regular and thorough updates!
